In 1912, the Swift County Hospital was constructed at a cost of $15,000 and had an original capacity of 20 to 25 patients.   In 1949, a new City-County Hospital was constructed at a cost of $400,000.   In 1971 a million dollar addition was added to the hospital.   The addition of a new emergency facility was completed in 2003. The Swift County-Benson Hospital celebrated its 90th Anniversary in 2002.   The Swift County-Benson Hospital has a strong tradition of excellence in our community. A well-staffed group of family physicians working together with our outreach services, provide a wide range of medical services for the community.
