Swift County-Benson Health Services’ (SCBHS) Benefits

We value the contributions our employees make to SCBHS and recognize that to be their best at work, they need excellent benefits. To ensure employees have the opportunity to spend time with their family, pursue personal and career interests, and keep themselves recharged, we offer a range of benefits, including several that contribute to a healthy lifestyle, such as:

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Accrual rates vary; employees will begin earning vacation immediately upon employment.

Medical Insurance

Plans range from $37.50 to $226 in premiums per pay period for full-time employees, depending on plan and coverage choices.

Health Savings Accounts/Health Reimbursement Accounts

Health Savings Accounts are individual expense accounts owned by employees that allow for tax-free payment or reimbursement of eligible medical expenses and employer contributions.

Health Reimbursement Accounts are employer-funded only, tax advantages plans used to reimburse employees for eligible medical expenses.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Pre-tax money that can be used for medical or dependent care expenses.

Dental Insurance

Plans start as low as $6.65 in premium per pay period; all plans cost less than $20 per pay period.

Defined Contribution Retirement Plan (ER Match)

Employer provides a fixed contribution to eligible employees each calendar year after the first year of employment in which an employee works 1,000 hours.

401(k) Retirement Plan (ER Match)

Allows employees the opportunity to save and invest income on a pre-tax or after-tax basis for retirement. Employees are automatically enrolled within 60 days of the first day of work unless the employee opts out. Employer match begins after one year and 1,000 hours of work.

Basic Life Insurance (100% Employer Paid)

All employees receive a life insurance policy that is provided at no cost to the employee. Through this plan, the employee’s beneficiary is eligible for an insurance benefit equal to the employee’s base salary, rounded up to the next $1,000 (minimum $10,000 and maximum $200,000).

Other Benefits

Short-term Disability (100% employer paid) – eligible after one year of employment.

Long-term Disability (100% employer paid) – eligible on the first of the month after the employee’s first day.
