Amy received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2018 from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, spending some time in an Urgent Care setting before making the switch over to full-time orthopedic practice where she became a board-certified Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner. Prior to getting board-certified, Amy previously worked as a RN for 15 years where she found her love in medicine and caring for others.

Amy works with the Orthopedic Team and with Dr. Holte directly, assisting in surgeries. Amy’s scope of practice includes joint injections, casting, fracture care, follow-up on surgical cases and fractures, and more. She is passionate about surgeries of joint replacements.

Scope of Practice: Dr. Holte is the SCBHS Chief Medical Officer and Head of Surgery. He is an orthopedic surgeon who visits SCBHS twice per week. He conducts clinic visits and performs various types of surgery which include but are not limited to: arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder (through a scope) with ligament or tendon repair, rotator cuff repair, carpal tunnel release, ulnar nerve release, removal of plates and screws, hip and knee replacements, hand surgery, surgical and nonsurgical repair of fractures and other types of surgery of the musculoskeletal system.
