Billing Overview

You will receive a bill for services from Swift County Benson Health Services. Professional fees for Surgeons, Radiologists, Pathologists and any other physician’s fees will be sent to you separately.

Please present your health insurance information and identification cards upon admission. If this information is not available at this time, please present it to the Insurance Department located in our Business Office prior to discharge.

Your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. Please be informed of the details of your policy. Many insurance companies are now requiring that your hospital services be prior authorized with their medical review organization. You can usually find this information on your insurance card or in your insurance policy. These approvals are the responsibility of you and your physician and must be obtained prior to receiving services.

Our highly qualified staff is well informed of the rules and regulations that govern the insurance filing process. If, after a reasonable amount of time has passed, your insurance carrier has not honored your claim, you will be responsible for full payment of the total charges.
