Benson, Minn. – The final step in what has been a year in the making is underway as Swift County Benson Health Services (SCBHS) will be officially renamed CentraCare – Benson beginning Jan. 1, 2023. Communities served by SCBHS will start to see the public-facing rebranding in the new year as operations for the hospital and clinic transition to CentraCare.
“Over the past three years, it is clear that CentraCare and SCBHS have a shared commitment to rural health care and a forward-thinking approach to quality, safety and care close to home,” said Dan Enderson, SCBHS Co-CEO. “We are excited to begin the new year providing our community with the best care possible as part of a strong health care system.”
CentraCare is one of the largest, not-for-profit health systems in Minnesota. Including Benson, the system operates nine hospitals, more than 30 medical clinics as well as home health services across Central, West Central and Southwest Minnesota. The system remains focused on supporting rural health care, offering specialty outreach to many rural communities keeping care close to home.

What to Expect
On Jan. 1, patients can expect this transition to come to life. Patients will see an immediate change in the name on MyChart, as well as on any correspondence including bills. When calling the hospital or clinic, phones will be answered as CentraCare – Benson beginning on Jan. 1, as well. The complete change in name and branding will evolve through the coming months.
